Eartha Raguelle[]

Introduction[]

Eartha Raguelle was a half-elf Paladin and twin sister of Ar-Raguel. Unlike her brother, Eartha adapted well to life in the Urundwood of her elven father. As Ar-Raguel struggled to find a home with either elves or humans, Eartha quickly discovered she had exceptional aptitude with horses, weapons, and healing magic. Encouraged by her father to pursue a position with the Woods' royal guard, she acquired the status of Knight or Urunwood. After this, her father then encouraged her to continue her training with the Sisters of Mercy (S.M.) who were among the greatest warriors, assassins, spies, and healers in the Northlands, dedicated to relieving the suffering of commonfolk suffering in the Civil War there.

It was while engaged with the Sisters of Mercy that Eartha heard her twin brother's voice for the first time in over 15 years. Ar-Raguel had long assumed dead at the hands (or jaws) of an Owlbear. But their psychic connection, long dormant, awoke suddenly if albeit sporadically and irregularly. While his messages were often cryptic, one was loud and clear: "I am in pain. Please find Rocco."

And so she did.

Though almost a century old when she meets the Company, she has the appearance of a very young woman, perhaps not even 20, as did Ar-Raguel.

Life Before The Company[]

By the time Eartha meets The Company (at the beginning of Chapter One) she is nearly 100 years old with decades of study in the arcane and divine magical arts, as well as a master Knight and Cavalry rider. However, what Eartha's life lacked in that first century was interaction with non-elves who weren't in a constat state of suffering and trauma. Her life in the Urundwood was idyllic. And while there was always a minority of ancient elves suspicious of 'elfkin' and their 'dirty blood,' her father, the Prince of Urundwood, and her extended royal family, embraced and encouraged her to explore and extol every part of her nature.

Nevertheless, her knowledge of life outside the Urunwood was almost exclusively aiding the Sisters of Mercy, regularly confronting war and its aftermath.
